Hey guys, in this article I’m going to be giving a full review on the natural sleep aid, Alteril. Now I personally have always been a light sleeper, and it often takes me over 30 minutes until I begin to fall asleep, which is always kinda annoying considering my girlfriend is out as soon as her head hits the pillow!

What Is Alteril?
Well, according to their official website, Alteril “is a premium grade sleep aid that may help you get the sleep you need without the unwanted side effects you may not want.” Well that sounds all warm and cozy, but how EXACTLY it works, I wondered before I purchased. After more searching, it was apparent that it was a supplement that you took an hour or so before going to bed to help you get a good night’s sleep.
Tell me something I don’t know, I hear you say! Well, I’m just about to wise guy! Alteril doesn’t contain stack-loads of prescription medication, meaning the side effects are really reduced, which is great because all I really wanted was a good night’s sleep, not 5 days in a deep sleep! In fact, Alteril only contains 3 main ingredients that perform all the apparent magic; L-Tryptophan, L-Theanine , Valerian and Melatonin.
In case you aren’t familiar with these four wonderful ingredients, allow me to expand on them for you.
L-Trytophan is an essential amino acid found in a wide variety of plant and animal proteins. I’d never really noticed this ingredient before, and it apparently aids the melatonin in promoting overall sleep.
Melatonin I had heard of before, and it is pretty well known that this helps promote sleep. There has been a boatload of studies done on this, as I’ve read a few before, and if you’re as sad as me I’m sure you can find some of these studies interesting too!
Valerian sends out a signal to your brain, basically saying “time for bed”. It helps to make you drowsy and actually wanting to go to bed.
L-Theanine is awesome because it reduces stress and anxiety which are commonplace amongst people finding it tough to get a good nights sleep. It helps to release Alpha brain waves which is what happens when you are in a relaxed state.
How Does Alteril Work?
Alteril contains ingredients that have all been individually used to promote sleep, especially for those with sleeping troubles. In my situation, it always takes me ages to get off because my mind is racing and won’t shut up. Sound familiar? Well, Alteril apparently stops this from happening, so you can get off pretty quickly like most other people.
What Were My Results From Taking Alteril?
When I purchased Alteril, I decided to go for 3 months supply. Whenever I am testing a new supplement I like to give it 3 months because by then you should almost certainly see a positive change. If there hasn’t been any noticeable difference then the likelihood is the product won’t help you.
So after the first few days of taking it, I felt GREAT! Like I had the best sleep of my life. I was getting off quicker than my girlfriend I couldn’t believe it! However after the first 4 or 5 days, the supplements had less of an effect.
I was still getting off quicker than before taking them, but instead of being asleep as soon as hitting the pillow, it took about 15-20 minutes.
At first I was kinda disappointed because I was expecting to be lights out the moment I hit the pillow, however there was something about Alteril that was really helping me with that I’d sorta overlooked. Every morning after taking Alteril I felt really refreshed and had more energy than normal. Now let’s not get too carried away, I wasn’t about to run 100m in 9 seconds, but I wasn’t groggy anymore, and that was awesome.
Since taking it, it takes me about 20 minutes to get to sleep which is pretty good, and my mind isn’t racing and talking to me so it’s very calm and peaceful!
I wanted to see what other people were saying about it, so I went to other users not listed on the official site, and I found that a lot of other people had similar stories to me. There was a user in one chat forum called “Nicksanity” who said that he actually cuts it in half and takes some during the day to calm him down!
Hold On Though! Alteril Isn’t Perfect!
There are a lot of really crappy, scammy websites out there promoting this sleep aid now, and some of them are supplying the product not through the official site. I never knew this was going on until I told my father about this product, and he bought through Amazon, only to receive a bottle of water and no supplements!
